Presidential Health Reform Committee Final Report – Nigeria (2021)

Policy information aimed to improve health outcomes, increase access to care, reduce costs, and promote equity in healthcare for all.

The primary objective of this health sector reform program is to bring Nigeria closer to achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) goals. Consequently, this report suggests necessary actions to narrow the gap between the demand for and utilization of healthcare services, enhance the quality of health services, and improve financial protection for Nigerians. These actions aim to enhance the overall health status of the Nigerian population, as assessed by its impact on public health and, secondarily, by its influence on improving the efficiency, equity, quality, and sustainability of the health sector.
